At the IBC show in Amsterdam back in September, ARRI made a huge splash unveiling the AMIRA, which has the same 16:9 sensor as some of the higher-end ALEXA cinema cameras. This month in Las Vegas at the annual Consumer Electronics Show, Panasonic gave us a taste of what will be its first 4K camera, the 4K GH (or GH4K as it has also been known). They didn't publicly reveal too much about the camera except for the body — which looks very much like a GH3 with a brand new 4K sticker on it. With the latest 3.0 firmware update, Sony has given users the ability to shoot a variety of high frame rates, but many people are still a bit confused about how to get to their desired frame rate. I've created a flow chart to help de-mystify the process, but first, let's go over the menu options needed.
The two menus you'll need to bounce between are the System menu and the Camera menu, but first we need to visit the Recording menu. Here you'll go to the Rec Control setting and choose either SxS & AXS for XAVC and RAW recording, or just AXS.
